Study shows real therapeutic value to flowers

In these dark short days of winter, the "blahs" are sometimes more than just a poor mood. For some, a serious depression can be brought on by the reduction in daylight over the winter.  There are many treatments for this, but a new study from the Harvard Medical school reveals that flowers may have the power to help heal this depression!

In order to help combat this seasonal disorder, researchers placed fresh cut flowers in homes of affected people. Their evidence suggests that, when people are surrounded by flowers, they feel more compassionate towards others and have less worry, anxiety and depression.

Wow!  This is an easy thing to try!  Visit your local florist and surround yourself with happiness, choosing from a wide selection of long lasting fresh flowers.  For very little investment, the return will be a great way to enjoy the rest of the winter with a smile.
