This debate comes up every year. As we look toward the week that bosses should acknowledge the hard work of an assistant, sometimes the biggest descision of the week is what to call it. We all know people who do this kind of work. They are the jack of all trades, organizers and behind the scenes heros of most work places. No matter what title we give these hard workers, the fact still remains, we are lost without them....just ask anyone who's assistant has called in sick or gone on holiday. So this year pick up a little something for their desk, perhaps a nice plant or flowers and chocolates, so that they can be reminded all year long how much you appreciate them and the job they do, no matter what we call them!
